General[edit | edit source]

Tyson Turner is one of the founders and current president of Heirson Health Products. He was once married to Caroline Argall, but the two divorced after allegations of Tyson cheating, and he never remarried, choosing instead to focus on his career.[1][2]

Tyson was hospitalized for acute gastric cancer at the end of Episode 4: Les Tournesols;[3][4] notably, this type of cancer is never considered "acute," but Tyson had received normal results on a public hospital checkup only a month prior, causing the phrase to be coined by his physician,[5] a Dr. Patel at Stellis Public Hospital.[1] Prior to his hospitalization, Tyson was noted to have led an interesting life, visiting every club, high-end hotel, and restaurant he could afford in the month prior to his falling ill.[2]

Heirson employees had been overheard mentioning they'd been given three months to develop a drug that could cure this specific cancer. However, the lab at which this cure was being developed was burned down in an act of arson.[6] By the time of Episode 6: A Vicious Cycle (Part 1), Tyson has fallen into a coma and is relying on life support to stay alive. Tyson's family do not visit him, leaving all his affairs managed by assistant Irene Burke.[1]

Story[edit | edit source]

Jovi Vance confessed to using a sample of the illegal toxic materials in production at Heirson, provided by Simon Bloodworth, to poison Tyson, causing his acute cancer.[7]

Tyson's assistant, Irene Burke, is also his biological daughter with Caroline Argall.[8]

When Jun Choi was jailed for the murder of Simon Bloodworth, instigation charges were also brought against Tyson Turner, who had hired him to silence Simon for blackmailing Heirson for hush money, agreeing to pay Jun by giving him 10% of the company. However, evidence of Tyson's instigation was lacking, and he did not suffer any consequences, though the general consensus online seems to be one of hope that he will lose his battle with cancer soon.[9]

Despite there being opposition within Heirson from researchers such as Lowe Lear, who knew Tyson's methods were illegal and immoral, Tyson relied on his reputation as an entrepreneur with no negative PR over his staff, who were unknown and lower-class, to protect him from any evidence of his crimes. He also sometimes resorted to extortion and blackmail; in Lowe's case in particular, Tyson intentionally gave his sister, Laura Lear, NXX-contaminated cancer-causing supplements so that Lowe would have incentive to develop Tyson's immortality drug.[10]

Tyson and Heirson finally faced legal consequences for their actions when the NXX Investigation Team brought several key witnesses together to provide testimony and clear chains of evidence. Contributors to the case included Jovi Vance on behalf of Simon Bloodworth, Irene Burke, Lowe Lear, and Hugh Moss.[11] Tyson passed away shortly afterward, which caused a celebratory response among the public.[12]
