At the scene of the arrest,
Ein Blair admits to his involvement in the diamond smuggling operation, but he denies any involvement with Sarai's poisoning since he believes there is no evidence.
Vyn easily provokes him into admitting his deeds, but when
Darius Morgan moves to make the arrest, Ein signals a large gang of black-uniformed combatants, who heavily outnumber both the main group of police and a small reinforcement group who wait outside with the
Main Character.
The reinforcement group calls for backup and sends the MC to run from the scene; unknown assailants eventually close the gap, but when she braces for the worst, she finds herself safe with
Ogier Wechsler. Fearing for Vyn's life, she asks Ogier to disobey his orders to protect her and find Vyn instead. When they reach Vyn, who has fought his way through the gang to reach the MC, he has just been injured in a fight.
