Hurry to Hessu Ruins and begin a formal investigation.

You: There are fewer tourists than before...

Vyn: The police seem to have taken some measures, such as evacuating tourists, limiting the flow of passengers, and the like.

You: Nobody will stop us this time. Let's get to work now!

Hessu Ruins RPG map

Check out the whole Hessu Ruins Expo and continue investigating the clues that you missed last time.

Luke (E)

Luke: As I thought!

You: What?

Luke: I've just done an experiment.

Luke: Light a fine wooden stick and insert it into that small hole, then take the stick out after a while...

Luke: I noticed that the top of the stick was still burning without any sign of going out.

Luke: That means...

You: There is air below?

Luke: Exactly! Now, it's clear that there must be a space underneath the Hessu Ruins that is large enough to allow air circulation!

You: Yeah! Only a basement that's being frequently opened can manage to maintain such air circulation.

Luke: But ... how can we find the way down?

You: Don't worry, we'll definitely find it as long as we're patient enough!

Artem (SE)

You: Why do you keep looking at the stone trough? Is something wrong with it?

Artem: No, I was just wondering why that person placed the nutrient solution into the stone trough.

Artem: If he takes the advantage of the chaos to place the holy water in front of the slab while the mist rises...

Artem: Then, wouldn't that be more compelling to those who thirst for holy water?

You: I can't figure it out either...

You: But the chaos back then was real, what with the people and the fog, among other things ... I don't think it's as complicated as we think it is.

You: It might just be more convenient to pour that nutrient solution into the stone trough...

Artem: Well, that makes sense. I might have been overthinking things.

Vyn (N)

Vyn: ...

You: Dr. Richter, penny for your thoughts?

Vyn: I am just thinking about... professor Ralph

You: The archaeologist who discovered the Hessu Ruins?

Vyn: Yes. Up until now, I've always regarded the professor as a very interesting scientist.

You: Scientist?

Vyn: That is correct. He has published many theories on the concept of space-time, and survival analysis of the ancient pharaohs using scientific methods...

Vyn: Although there is no shortage of non-realistic scientific rhapsody, the overall impression is one of fresh novelty

Vyn: I thought I had misheard when Yehya mentioned the name.

Vyn: After confirming the name, I looked it up on the net again to make sure that it was the same professor.

Vyn: I did not expect for him to be so accomplished in archaeology in addition to his achievements in scientific research.

You: Does it sound like you have a pretty good feeling toward Professor Ralph?

Vyn: Not really, but if having the chance ... I would like to discuss some things with him.

Marius (W)

You: (Huh, what is Marius telling that little boy over there?)

Marius: Hey, kid. Could I please have a look at your necklace?

Boy: No, Mom said I couldn't show the Seth's Bone to anyone else!

Boy: Otherwise, The great Pharaoh will be angry

You: (Huh? The kid's holding a pendant shaped in the face of a peculiar beast... Is it a Seth's Bone?)

Marius: Why will the Pharaoh be angry? The Pharaoh won't know about it...

Boy: Shhh, no way!

Boy: Mom told me that she had really seen the Pharaoh here at the Hessu Ruins.

Boy: It's right over by the mural. She used the Seth's Bone to summon the door to the other world and walked right through.

Marius: This is a piece of interesting news.

You: Hey, where is the mural you're talking about? Can you take us there?

Boy: It's on the east side, right behind the slate that records the deeds of the great Pharaoh.

You: So it's over there... the mural behind the stone slab... Marius, do you think it's connected to the stone slab in some way?

Marius: I can't work it out. Why don't we just go and have a look for ourselves? Maybe we can also witness that so-called door to the other world.

You: Well...We can get everyone down here to have a look at it once we finish investigating the other places.

Call everyone to go look at the mural the boy was talking about. Perhaps you'll discover something.

The Khaimit police have evacuated the tourists, so nothing gets in the way of your investigation this time.

After surveying the whole area, you come to the mural that the little boy wearing the Seth's Bone mentioned...

You: Is this the wall that the little boy was talking about before?

Marius: The murals on the wall display anecdotes from the period when Hepharet ruled the ancient kingdom of Khaimit.

Marius: Many of the murals in the Hessu ruins are about this subject. It doesn't seem to be anything strange.

Vyn: But the murals on this wall... do not seem very natural.

Artem: Yeah. There are several marks on the wall that matches the stone slab over there, which does make it a little unusual.

You: You mean...

Luke: Look over here. This wall's made of marble...

Luke: The hardness of this kind of marble is relatively high, which means that scratch marks like these aren't normally possible.

Artem: That's true. Unless someone rubs it with the same material frequently enough...

Artem: If that happens, then marks like these will end up showing after a while.

You: You mean, the marks are similar to what forms when you rub two identical pieces of marble with each other?

You: For example, maybe a movable door? Something that often opens and closes repeatedly will probably leave such marks...

Luke: Exactly! Theoretically speaking, there should be a hidden door near this wall that can be pushed open!

You: So, now our question is... how are we going to open this door?

Marius: Oh...

You: What's up?

Marius: Look at the middle of the mural. There seems to be a groove. The direction of the groove is crooked. If you align it...

Marius: Doesn't it look like a straight line is splitting the whole mural in half?

Marius gestures at the mural.

You: Yeah! The outline really looks like a door!

Marius: And the shape of this groove...

Marius: Isn't it similar to the Seth's Bone that we saw on that little boy?

You: Wow, you're right...

Marius: It would be good if we can find something similar so that we can insert it in...

Marius: Maybe this is the trigger for the hidden door.

Marius: Say, do you think I'll be able to get what we need if I try borrowing the necklace from that little kid?

You: That'll be a little hard. He seems to be very defensive of us.

You: Wait, Ms. Arkwright has one too!

You: Dr. Richter, can we try to borrow Seth's Bone from Ms. Arkwright?

Vyn: Hmm... Ms. Arkwright isn't that defensive towards us, so we can give it a try.

You: However... we do not know where Ms. Arkwright is right now.

Vyn: She told us before that she lived nearby the oasis in the Ita Desert, so we can try looking for her there.

You: Okay, I'll go together with you.

Luke: Then we'll stay here and wait for your news. We can also take this opportunity to study the mural further.

Artem: Well, if more people show up, it could bring about the opposite effect... So I think it's best if you two were the ones who went.

Artem: Just... [Player], remember to inform us immediately if anything happens.

You: Okay. Let's get going then.

Scarlett Arkwright seems to be staying near the oasis in the Ita Desert at the moment. See if you can borrow Seth's Bone from her.

Scarlett Arkwright: Huh? Dr. Richter, Miss [Player]? Are you two here to sightsee?

Scarlett Arkwright: I've lived here for a few days and know this neighborhood pretty well. Do you want me to bring you around?

You: Thank you, Ms. Arkwright. I'll be sure to hit you up the next time we have the chance.

You: Actually... We're here for something else today...

Scarlett Arkwright: Oh? What is it?

Vyn: Ms. Arkwright, may I borrow your Seth's Bone?

Scarlett Arkwright: Dr. Richter... can you tell me the reason why?

Scarlett Arkwright: The Seth's Bone is a very important treasure to me. I can't just give it away so casually.

You: (Ms. Arkwright has not refused us yet. We might have a chance!)

Vyn: I and [Player], both desire the favor of the Pharaoh Hepharet as well.

Vyn: We would like to take the Seth's Bone and pray to the Pharaoh once more, in hope for our prayers to be heard.

You: Yeah... We're really interested in learning more about the Pharaoh Hepharet.

You: I promise that we will return it to you as soon as we're done. Will that do?

Scarlett Arkwright: Haha, I get it! You must have been impressed by Hepharet's charm too, right?

Scarlett Arkwright: Dr. Richter, you finally understand how I feel, don't you?

Vyn: Yes, we want to witness the real Pharaoh coming from Otherworld...

You: ...

You: (However, if we can really solve the mystery of this matter... then I suppose we'd have found the real Pharaoh, right?)

Scarlett Arkwright: All right.I normally wouldn't lend it out like that if it was someone else who asked, but since it's you, Dr. Richter...

Scarlett Arkwright: You were the only one who was willing to listen to me back in Stellis City... You're a good person, and I trust you.

Scarlett Arkwright: Here. Take the Seth's Bone to the slab and pray. I'm sure your wishes will be granted!

Scarlett Arkwright: But, remember to return it to me after you're done.

You: Understood. Thank you, Ms. Arkwright.

You got Seth's Bone. Quickly return to Hessu Ruins and meet up with everyone!

You: We've got it! Look, this is the Seth's Bone.

You carefully take out the necklace that you got from Scarlett Arkwright and place it on the mural's groove for comparison.

Marius: The shape of the pendant is the same as the groove. Looks like we were right.

Luke: ... Can I use this necklace however I like?

Luke: I want to take the pendant off and insert it in. Maybe we can rotate the grooved section

Vyn: No. I promised Ms. Arkwright that I would return the necklace to her in one piece.

Luke: I see... Too bad then. Wait a minute, I'll make another one with a soft plastic mold.

You: Plastic mold?

Luke: Yes. We can create a mold by leaving an imprint of the necklace on soft resin. Once the resin hardens, we can then create a copy of the necklace.

Luke: Don't worry, this isn't difficult. It's just a bit of a hassle since it takes a long time.

Artem: I never thought that you'd actually brought along the materials to make a mold.

Luke: I'm used to it, and it's good to be prepared. Look, it came to be of use now, no?

Luke takes out numerous bottles from his backpack and lines them up on the ground.

He quickly mixes the two viscous liquids together and pours them into another box...

After a few minutes, he places the Seth's Bone into the box as well.

An hour later, he opens the box and takes out the Seth's Bone, handing it to Vyn.

Luke: There we go!

Luke: I'll pour another material into it later on. Then our very own Seth's Bone will be ready.

Luke: Vyn, I don't need this necklace any longer. You can have it back.

You: ... Looks pretty interesting! I'd like to give it a try myself if we have a chance next time!

Luke: Sure thing. Just tell me what you want to make and I'll help you!

Vyn: How long will it take for this mold to be formed?

Luke: Hmm ... Give or take another hour.

Vyn: Well, I can go back to the Ita Desert to return Ms. Arkwright the Seth's Bone.

Vyn: The mold should be almost ready by the time I am back.

Luke: Okay. We'll try and see if this mold works once you're back.

Hessu Ruins RPG map

Wait for Luke's mold to be completed inside Hessu Ruins.

About an hour later, Luke completely peels off the soft rubber.

A mold with almost identical size, dimensions, and contours to the Seth's Bone is completed.

You: It looks exactly the same!

???: Is it complete?

The elegantly low voice sounds almost simultaneously with your excited one.

You can tell that it's Vyn even without turning around.

You: Dr. Richter, you're back!

Vyn: Yup, I have returned the necklace to Ms. Arkwright. How about you?

Luke: Looks to be very successful. I just don't know what will happen once I plug it into the groove...

Artem: No one can predict the outcome until we've given it a try.

Marius: Go on, I can't wait. Let's see what it has for us.
