You: Luke, have you noticed that all teen films have the same scene?

Luke: Do you mean the one where the male and female lead ride together on a bike? Hey, let's find two shared bikes.

Luke: But you have to lead the way.

You: Aren't you afraid I'll lead you in the wrong direction?

Luke: I don't mind going astray if you're the one leading.

Stellis University

You: I used to sit on this bench in the afternoon and memorize legal texts.

Luke smiles and gently pats the back of the bench.

You: What's that for?

Luke: I'm thanking it for its companionship over the years. From now on, I'll carry on its duty.

Stellis University

You: I had most of my classes in this building...

You: I'm not bragging, but I've been to every classroom in this building.

Luke: You're a hard-working student, [Player].

You: Hehe, it's all thanks to you, my excellent role model.

Stellis University

You: Look, this is my school's famous wishing fountain.

Luke: A wishing fountain? Don't you need to throw a coin to make a wish?

You: No. A sincere heart is what matters. I heard that it's magical and can give blessings. My classmates always came here before exams, and they never failed any course.

Luke: Have you made any wishes here?

You: Me? I did, and they've all come true!

Luke: Doomsday? Did you read this book too?

While browsing through your book loan tracker, Luke asks you in a hushed tone.

You are both so close that you can clearly see your reflection in his pupils.

You: Yes. I like to read something else to refresh my mind after reading too many law books.

Luke: This novel isn't very popular, but I found many of its details interesting. I've read it many times over.

You: It is pretty good. I found it by accident.

Stellis University

Luke: Let me adjust your seat for you if you want to read. It will be more comfortable.

You: Hmm, it's much more comfortable now!

Luke: A backrest angle of 101-104 degrees is best for your eyes and where you will feel most relaxed.

You: Then I will adjust my office chair to this angle too!

Stellis University

You: Natural science books are in the east section; cultural and social science books are in the west; the south section mostly holds reference works, and to the north is periodical literature.

Luke: So... Do you usually go to the west?

You: Actually, I have read a lot of books in all sections. After all, being an attorney is a profession that requires all sorts of knowledge.

Luke: True. I'll read with you from now on.

Luke: I'm not going to be on the field in the second half. I want to watch it with you.

You: Don't mind me. You can play the whole game if you want.

Luke: Your schoolmate said that his girlfriend is also here. He wants me to give him a chance to show off.

Stellis University

Luke: Let's sneak away earlier...

You: Huh? Why?

Luke: The boys invited me to a celebratory party after the game, but I was only playing for my girlfriend...

Luke: And now that I've achieved my goal. I would feel guilty if I took the credit.

You: Okay, then let's slip away.

Stellis University

You: Which one do you want? The mineral water or the energy drink?

Luke: Either one's fine with me...

You: Don't. You are making this difficult for your girlfriend.

Luke: What should I say then? I'm good with anything my girlfriend gives me!

He laughs and literally takes both bottles.

You: (Falling in love has really turned us both into fools...)

Stellis University

Girl: You're back!

You: Yes, I'm showing my boyfriend around the campus.

Girl: Isn't he No. 8 on the field? I saw you two come in hand-in-hand!

Girl: You've got great taste. He is handsome and good at basketball!

You: Thank you. He was on the high school basketball team!

As soon as the words leave your mouth, Luke scores a three-pointer. The court cheers.

Stellis University

You: Hmm... I remember it's right over here...

Luke: What are you looking for?

You: All the trees on campus have guardians. Mine should be in this area. Ah! Found it!

You: It has been assigned to a new guardian... I guess it's because I graduated.

Luke: That's understandable. It's not like you can come back to take care of it all the time, after all.

Luke: But whoever its guardian is now, the memories you had with it are real, and they will remain with you.

You: Just like us?

Luke: No, its guardian changes with time, but you will always be mine.

Stellis University

Teacher: [Player]! It's really you. I saw you from afar, but I wasn't sure.

You: Hello Mr. Gao. How are you doing?

Teacher: I'm doing great. Are you two...?

Luke: Hi, Mr. Gao. I'm Luke. Thank you for taking care of [Player].

Teacher: No worries. I love seeing young couples as I get older. You two look great together!

Stellis University

You: Look, that's the No. 3 canteen. I would always eat there because it was the closest to the library.

Luke: I've heard of it. It's quite famous.

You: It is. All the canteens on campus are excellent. This one's known for having food from all over the world.

Luke: Should we go and try it later?

You: Good idea. It's been a long time since I've had its hand-pulled noodles. I miss it.

Professor Cole switches to the next slide and explains the corresponding legal provisions with the cases on the slide.

The students are all making notes. You can hear the rustling of pen tips rubbing against paper.

Looking at Luke's bewildered face, you regret it a little.

You: (Was it a mistake to invite him to Professor Cole's open class...?)

You gently poke Luke, who is sitting next to you, with your elbow.

He looks at you with a puzzled expression. You lower your voice and gesture at him.

You: Luke, are you bored?

You: We can leave through the back door if you're bored.

Luke: ...!

Professor Cole: Let's take a ten-minute break. You are welcome to discuss the case during the break.

As soon as the words are said, the classroom grows restless, and a lively discussion echoes through the space.

You: (Finally, I can talk normally.)

You: Luke, are you bored? Should we leave?

Luke: No, I think it's pretty interesting.

Luke: Although I've learned quite a bit of legal terms, a formal law class like this is more interesting.

You: Really? You looked confused, so I thought...

Luke: It's because I didn't understand the terms and conditions that Professor Cole was speaking of.

You: Huh? I can't believe you would have trouble understanding things.

Luke: Only a little!

Luke: By the way, why did you want me to come to this class?

You: Well... I spent most of my life in school. And I often come by for visits after graduating.

You: So I wanted to show you my school...

You: How does it feel to be a law student?

Luke: Well...There are a lot of regulations to memorize, but I like the analysis of cases and courtroom techniques. They're pretty challenging.

Luke: More importantly, I get to be your deskmate.

You: Yes, yes, you are now my deskmate!

You: I was a well-behaved student when I was in school. I never whispered or made small talk in class.

Luke: Then I have to be a good student too.

Luke: What do you think about the case the professor just mentioned?

You: It's a real case that happened a few months ago...

You and Luke start to discuss the legal text that Professor Cole mentioned.

It's as if you and Luke went to the same college and took the same class...

What would have happened if you two had really gone to the same college...?

Looking at Luke's smiling face, you get lost your own thoughts until he taps you on the shoulder.

Luke: Hey, you good?

You: Sorry, I was just thinking.

Professor Cole: Time's up. Anyone wants to share your ideas with the class?

The classroom is suddenly quiet again. You and Luke sit straight and look in the direction of the podium.

As you're fully immersed in the class, someone gently prods you in the knee.

Luke: Check it out.

Luke mouths the words as he slides a slip of paper in front of you.

His eyebrows are slightly raised as he smiles. He gestures for you to read it.

You: Huh... Are they...

You slowly unfold the paper and you almost laugh out loud.

There is a male figure and a female figure drawn on it. They are obviously Luke and you.

Unfortunately, his drawing skills are not that great. Hence, the portraits are both ugly and kind of cute.

You: (Seriously? I look much better than this.)

You pick up a pen and add some lines to it.

You then pass the note back to him.

Suddenly, the bell rings and the class comes to an end.

Luke: Hey, no distractions in class.

He raises his hand and waves the note.

You: You are welcome to give it back to me if you don't like it.

Luke: No way! You gave it to me, so it's mine now.

The sun shines through the glass, falling onto his collar. Luke, who has a baby face, looks just like a freshman at this moment.

The note that he clutches tightly to has a red heart that you drew...
