Marius "A Dance on the Clouds"/Rewards

Story Summary

This story takes place in Year 1. Marius is not yet in a relationship with the MC.

Marius invites the main character to his friend's extreme sports club; upon arriving at a private airport, the MC realizes the planned activity is skydiving. Another couple, also waiting to go skydiving, tries to fight the on-site medical scan that evaluates one of them as medically unfit, but Marius makes them admit they're trying to trick the staff and the evaluation is accurate.

The medically unfit customer admits she has heart disease and is scheduled for a high-risk surgery soon, and that her boyfriend was trying to fulfill one of her last wishes to see Stellis from on high. Marius offers to record his and the MC's own dive and use the footage to somehow create a unique experience for the woman.

Marius drops the MC off for skydiving training, then leaves to make other preparations. An hour later, the MC boards the plane and is distressed when it prepares for takeoff without Marius aboard. Upon asking the staff where he is, she discovers Marius is a fully licensed and certified pilot.

Marius hands control of the plane over to other staff members. With some light banter about the sports club's ugly suits and how close Marius must be to the friend that owns the place, the two prepare to record their dive.

Marius and the MC perform a tandem jump from the plane, which the MC finds exhilarating; Marius describes it as finally understanding what it means to have the world.

Back on the ground, Marius prepares the video and distributes special VR goggles from Pax R&D that should pose no health risk to the woman with the heart condition. She's thrilled with the result and promises to do her best to comply with treatment so she can experience it for herself. As everyone leaves the site, a staff member slips up and calls Marius "Boss," forcing him to admit he owns the club.

You: Really? Why haven't I heard of it...

Marius: Really! There's a lot about the excavation, research, and preservation of ancient civilization!

Marius: It's very educational and fun!

You: I know of it. A lot of archaeologists took part in the movie, right?

Marius: Yup! It's a movie with a lot of real-world applications.

Marius: It talks about the research value and the preservation methods of artifacts and relics. It sounds very interesting.

Marius: The critics also said that you can make your own artifact during the interactive section.

Can I make it too?

You: I've never been good with handicrafts...

Marius: Don't say that! Believe in yourself!

Marius: Besides, I'll be there. We can make one together.

Can I watch you make it?

You: So, will I see the great Marius in action?

Marius: Of course.

Marius: Think about what you'd like first, and I'll show you how to make it.

Marius: Why don't we just go this weekend?

Sure

You: Sure, I want to make an artifact!

Marius: Haha, you seem to be more excited than I am.

Marius: Perfect. Let's go over the weekend?

You mean to go with you

You: You just want me to come along...

Marius: There's a new haunted house in the amusement park.

Marius: You get to interact with people that are pretending to be ghosts.

Marius: It sounds pretty exciting. They have great reviews online!

You: Riddles? Like the ones in escape rooms?

Marius: Something like that. I think you can see the escape clues when you wear the 3D goggles.

Marius: How about we go this weekend?

Sure

You: Sure! I'm free this weekend!

Marius: You seem excited. It's gonna be great!

Marius: Alright then, I'll pick you up when the time comes.

Hmm...

You: Hmm... I can't decide if I want to go or not...
