Summary

The Main Character burns the rhinoceros figurine horn. When the figurine opens, it reveals a USB drive and a vial of liquid that looks like the black market drug. Analyzing the current evidence, the two conclude that Brad Gries was driven to suicide, which he did by locking himself in the room and leaving himself only poison -- the NXX overdose -- to drink, too timid and fearful to end things in a quicker, less painful way.

Wooden Sculpture Mechanism

A mechanism was built into the wooden rhinoceros sculpture. The clasp is embedded in the depths of the horn-shaped candle and can't be unlatched easily.

A Tough Choice
