Summary

The Main Character explains to Artem her belief that Felicia Luo is hiding things, and Artem agrees. The MC speculates her daughter's medical bills might have been a hidden motive, but the divorce settlement shows that Brad Gries freely gave almost everything he had to Felicia. Meanwhile, Artem has already looked into Felicia and her daughter at Stellis Public Hospital. the nurse in charge of caring for the child found it noteworthy that Felicia would occasionally get phone calls that made her nervous. Artem suggests that they examine the crime scene.

Elsewhere in the detention center, Vyn concludes a psychological evaluation for Skye Harper and takes the opportunity to ask about the dynamic between Brad Gries and his daughter. He also asks her reason for hiring Artem, who offered his services freely to save her from an unjust death sentence. As Vyn leaves the detention center, he's stopped by the student who had pranked Artem earlier that week, who mistakenly thanks Vyn for saving him, misinterpret's Vyn's warning that he's spoken to the dean, and asks for help getting home. Vyn drives off after leaving the student with subway change and a reprimand.

The property settlement agreement signed when Brad Gries divorced Felicia Luo.

Both parties have now agreed on the divorce property settlement. The agreement is as follows:
(1) The man's joint share of the two properties, registered in the name of both the husband and the wife, will belong to the woman.
(2) The deposit in the woman's name remains unchanged. The man shall pay a lump sum payment of $1,520,000 to the woman for child support and medical expenses. This amount should be paid the next day after this agreement is signed.
(3) Other property belonging to each party, such as personal items and jewelry, shall be retained by the original party.
