Summary

Marius and the main character investigate the victims' apartment at Roseyal Manors, where the victims and suspect both lived. They find nothing they can use to overturn the police's suspicions, but they note the apartment lacks surveillance for its entrance and for the fire escape stairs between floors, and they feel that many pieces of evidence on site seem strange in ways they can't articulate.

At the north mountain of the nature park, Artem encounters a photographer who may have been in the area when Simon Bloodworth's body was dumped.

A toolbox found at the crime scene that contained the murder weapon, a hammer.

One of the tools in the toolbox is missing. A simple comparison will reveal that the hammer, which is the murder weapon, has the same pattern as the other tools. All the tools are also labeled with the same serial number "No.21." It is clear that the hammer came from this toolbox.

Suitcases

The two suitcases found at the crime scene belonged to Edwin Burke and Jade Burke.

The two large suitcases were the exact same that Jade Burke asked the security guard to help move. The police found Jade Burke's and Edwin Burke's fingerprints inside the suitcases, along with dander and even traces of Edwin Burke's blood.

Theory 1:

The hammer in the toolbox has a special design. With the same serial numbers, Jun Choi's fingerprints could have been transferred to the murder weapon simply by switching the handles.

It is black all over and medium-sized. It appears to be a crescent moon, with a golden coating at the tip of the moon. At the bottom, there are three letters "ABY", along with two other characters that are worn out. It is presumed to be "Abyss," which is a bar that's known for its shady business.

The Burkes lived in Apartment 1001 in the furthest corner of the 10th floor. It is a blind spot in the surveillance coverage, with a nearby fire escape.
