Departing from the camp, you choose to go with Marius.

Marius: Why did you choose to come with me?

Marius: Are you suspicious of me because you don't know my friend's motive for hosting this event? That I might be just like him?

Marius: You're here to monitor me, aren't you?

You: Marius! What do you even have in that head of yours?

You: If I suspected you, I wouldn't have chosen to come with you.

You: It'd be easier to investigate you with the other three!

Marius: Do you pity me? Ever since I took over at Pax, problems have popped up one after another.

Marius: Am I the unluckiest president on the face of the Earth?

You: It isn't that, either.

You: You're young and you just took over Pax, but I've always thought that you're just as capable as anyone else.

You: No matter what the obstacle is, you don't need pity. You're capable of solving your own problems.

Seeing Marius so despondent, you can't help but comfort him.

You: Luke is always cautious. He wouldn't suspect someone for no reason.

You: I can sense that you're close to your friend. Of course you'd be upset if he were involved in robbery.

You: Even the toughest people need understanding and support.

You: So I'll be with you the whole time. No matter what problems we encounter, I'll face them with you.

Marius: Hehe, I knew that you cared about me the most.

Marius: I'm a treasure in your heart.

You: Marius von Hagen! You tricked me again!

His crestfallen and pitiful manner was an act!

And you fell right into his hands...

Marius: Don't be mad. If I hadn't done that, then I wouldn't have heard such nice things from you.

You: Hehe, yes, you're a treasure, that is what you are.

Marius: That's right. I'm a...

Marius: Hold up. Why does that sound so familiar?

You: So you've heard this song before, huh?

Marius: Hey, no fair. Now you're the one messing with me...

You: Enough already... Let's get back to business.

Marius: Okay, okay, enough joking around. Business it is.

Marius: Pax bought Nosta because of its geography and environment. We wanted to construct an expedition-themed park.

Marius: I originally wanted to host an event to gain publicity for the park's eventual opening.

You: Did Bryce give you the treasure hunt idea?

Marius: Yes. It was after Uncle Bryce came to me that I realized he had previously wanted to buy Nosta.

You: Did he also come up with the puzzles for this event?

Marius: Yep. The entire script was written by him and his creative team.

Marius: To be honest, I don't even know where the treasures are.

You: You're the official organizer and you didn't check out the event plan?

Marius: I was going to, but I didn't want to anymore after inviting you.

Marius: If I knew the answers in advance, then there'd be no point in the treasure hunt.

You: Who knew so much could happen before we even arrived...

You: Hey, wait. Doesn't that mean this treasure hunt lost all meaning to Bryce as well?

You: You said that he organized this event to fulfill his dream of treasure hunting. What's the meaning of this event to him now?

Marius: I asked Bryce the same question during the event planning phase.

Marius: He said that there are many old relics on Nosta, and that those undiscovered remains of ancient civilizations are also treasures.

Marius: He wanted to explore Nosta and find a thing or two.

Marius: He created this event both to fulfill other treasure hunters' dreams and to promote his outdoors brands.

You: This all sounds reasonable, but...

Marius: I didn't suspect him because he had studied archeology in university. By chance, he had later changed his profession.

Marius: His interest in relics is expected.

Marius: But if this is related to the Great Gold Heist... Then his so-called exploration does seem suspicious.

You look at the terminal on your wrist. There's nothing wrong with Bryce's GPS location; it's in the forest up ahead.

You then compare that location to the tracking app's, making sure that Bryce's location is accurate.

You: Bryce is just up ahead. Let's catch up with him and see what we can find out.

You: If Bryce truly just wants to explore historical ruins, I'm sure he wouldn't reject his "nephew."

You: But if he has another agenda...

Marius: He'd find a way to get rid of us for sure.

You: You got it. Let's go.

Marius: Hang on. We can't leave yet.

You: What is it?

Marius takes off his backpack and points at yours.

Marius: C'mon, give me the heavy stuff like water and flashlights. I'll carry them.

You: It's fine. I'm not some fragile flower. I can manage at least this much.

Marius: I'm not looking down on you or anything.

Marius: There's a biological disparity in strength between men and women, so let me do my fair share. It'll improve our travel efficiency, too.

Marius' reasoning convinces you. You remove some supplies from your backpack and place them in his.

After everything's packed, you two are ready to go.

Marius: Great. Without your supplies, you can't leave me even if you change your mind.

You: Marius! von! Hagen!

You should've never trusted him!
