Tile unlock: Obtain Rain Boots

You: Why's there a pair of rain boots here? They're brand-new, too.

Luke: These probably came from the organizer's supply chest. Not sure why they'd be here, though.

You: Luke, remember when we were little, we loved stomping in puddles in our rain boots while holding our umbrellas?

Luke: Of course!

Luke: We got soaked every time, and we'd put our clothes into the washing machine before your mom found out.

You: Back then, we thought we successfully tricked Mom, and we were so proud of it.

You: Now I think about it, she must've known. She just didn't say anything.

Luke: Yeah.

Luke: Speaking of which, we may have to do a lot of wading later. Bring the rain boots. They might help.

According to Luke's analysis, you two go to the location where Joshua's tracks intersect with the Nosta gulls' habitat.

You consider notifying the other members about Joshua's disappearance, but Luke thinks it's unnecessary.

You: Should we tell the others that Joshua disappeared?

Luke: There's no need for now.

Luke: Like you said, a normal person wouldn't be able to go very far within one hour.

Luke: Factoring in Nosta's complex topography, his movement speed would be even slower.

Luke: Looking at everyone's current positions, none of them are in Joshua's range. They're pretty far away.

Luke: Telling them now that Joshua is missing will only disrupt their original plans of action.

You: That's true.

You: There's no news about Bryce or Zachary. Looks like everything's going well.

You: Does this mean that Joshua didn't inform his accomplices that he found a tracker?

Zachary, who brought Joshua to Nosta, is undoubtedly his accomplice, but Bryce is merely under suspicion.

Luke: Before arriving at the island, everyone had turned in their communication devices except for us.

Luke: If Joshua threw away his terminal, it'd be hard for him to contact Zachary or Bryce in such a short time.

Luke: But Bryce is this event's planner and sponsor. We don't know if he secretly planned something...

You: You've been suspicious of Bryce this whole time. Why?

Luke: That's related to the missing treasure.

Hearing Luke mention the missing treasure, you stop asking questions despite your curiosity.

Luke: Let's head over to the Nosta gulls' habitat and find Joshua's tracks.

Luke: If we don't find anything there, we'll inform the others that Joshua is missing.

Fortunately, you do find footprints in the Nosta gulls' habitat. However...

You: There are so many footprints here. Can you tell which ones are Joshua's?

Luke: Joshua Ott is 173 centimeters, 62 kilograms, shoe size 41. All these characteristics will be reflected in his footprints.

You: But a lot of treasure hunters obviously landed here. Many of the footprints are overlapping. How can you...

You: All I can do is to help you measure which footprints are size 41.

Luke: I'll take care of the overlapping footprints. You handle the clear ones. Let's do this, my dear Watson!

One of the event's landing sites was close to here. There were around 20 to 30 treasure hunters here.

You thought footprint screening would be more time-consuming, but Luke already has a preliminary conclusion.

Luke: Most of the treasure hunters who passed through here seem to be women.

Luke: In terms of shoe size, stride, height, and weight, only two sets of footprints match Joshua's.

You: This set here meets the requirements, and it seems this person didn't go the same way as everyone else.

You: He went into the forest by himself.

Luke: The set here moved with other people. Judging from the direction, he should be heading to the camp nearby.

You: Let's split up and work separately so we can confirm Joshua's location as soon as possible.

Luke: Joshua didn't come here for the treasure hunt.

Luke: Although the prize is generous, Joshua probably doesn't want any publicity since he was just released from prison.

Luke: Besides, it's still uncertain whether his commutation was legal.

You: Therefore, the person who went off alone is more likely Joshua.

You: Ten years ago, in order to recover the stolen goods, Nation A police searched the entire island, but they found nothing...

You: That means the loot is not somewhere that's easily accessible.

You: This is why I think Joshua wouldn't move with the other treasure hunters.

You: Because the place he's going to is probably very remote and inaccessible.

Luke: Let's not jump to any conclusions. Be careful when you're following the footprints with the group.

Luke: Just follow the direction of the footprints. If you don't see Joshua in the camp, don't go any further.

You: Got it!

You: Don't worry, Luke. I know what I'm capable of. I'm not going to do anything stupid.

You: But what if I find Joshua at the campsite? Should I tell the staff to detain him?

Luke: One of the most important reasons we're following Joshua is to find out where the stolen goods are.

Luke: If this problem could be solved by arresting him, we would've done it on the ship.

Luke: As long as Joshua doesn't act aggressively, we should continue following him.

Luke: You can stall him by asking the staff to check on him and wait until I arrive.

Luke: But if he gets aggressive, don't hesitate to ask security to arrest him.

You: Got it. Luke, if you find Joshua there, please let me know.

Luke: Yeah. Remember, do not make contact with him alone.

You two decide on a time to check in with each other, then you set off separately from the forest on the coast.

Among the thick vegetation, an athletic figure flashes by.

Maybe due to the camouflage of his clothes, Luke's movements are barely perceptible.

Like a spirit of the forest, he lithely traverses through the forest, chasing traces of his prey.

Luke: Hm?

After traveling a short distance, Luke has already spotted his target, and...

A growling snore scares off the birds in the forest...

Luke: ...

Being cautious, Luke takes out his binoculars and carefully observes his target.

The person looks to be in their 40s, and he doesn't resemble Joshua at all. He sleeps soundly in the shade.

Luke: He's not... Then...

Luke: [Player]!
