Overview
- Contract Dispute: Half a year ago, Wendel sold his home to Leonard at the price of $600,000. Both sides agreed to transfer the ownership in six months. Meanwhile, to avoid taxes, the actual transaction price was written as $250,000. Three months ago, Leonard sold the same property to Kiin for $660,000 and signed a formal contract that would transfer ownership in six months. A month ago, Wendel and Leonard's agreement was deemed invalid. As a result, Leonard argued that his subsequent agreement with Kiin should also be deemed invalid on the grounds that he did not own the house at the time of signing the contract. Kiin has hired Themis Law Firm as representation to sue Leonard for damages.
