Luke and the
main character discuss the reason they believe there were multiple groups of intruders; namely, the presence of evidence that it would have been impossible for
Jasmine Kenders to have collected herself, which the police and first group of intruders would both have removed. Luke also uses OCR software to assemble the crayon drawings into the intended clue: ASCII art of a cell phone, last year's model, with a lock screen showing a jasmine flower.
The pair investigates the upper floor of Jasmine's apartment. They find a memory card containing information on
Stellis News' marketing budget, which includes a suspicious increase in ad revenue from
Heirson Health Products. They also find a letter detailing
Ian Johnson's rejection from
Stellis University, Jasmine's termination contract from Stellis News, and a Da Vinci cryptex.
