The next day, Vyn tries once more to speak to Crystal Wu, who denies she's been exchanging messages until he shows her the laptop. She agrees to an "empty chair" therapy in which Vyn hypnotizes her to enact both sides of a conversation between herself and the Phantom. While Crystal is playing the Phantom's side of the conversation, Vyn takes Crystal's role and begins to question the Phantom's recent behavior. She finally realizes she's been manipulated and offers the names of two troupe members who might have been able to obtain the information in the messages: Rayan Blakeley and Ein Blair.
