Return to the entrance of Hessu Ruins and hand Ralph over to the Khaimit police.

As soon as you return to the entrance of the Hessu Ruins, you see the Khaimit police officers quickly gathering around your little group.

Several officers, who looked quite competent, takes Ralph from you and leave.

After they have left, a police officer, who has been standing by gestures to you.

Police Officer: Thank you all! Without your help, we might have wasted a lot of time.

You: You are welcome. We are also very relieved to find Ralph without too much trouble.

Police Officer: Would you all mind coming with me to the Mien police station to give a statement?

Police Officer: Although Mr. Wing and Dr. Richter have told us about the situation, we still need more details.

You: Okay. We'll do our best to cooperate.

Return to Mien CBD and complete the statement at the police department to assist the police in further understanding the case.

Your jeep follows the police convoy back to the Mien police station.

After completing the statement, the officer in charge of the record informs you all that Yehya has also completed his work and is waiting in the office.

So, you are accompanied by the police officer to the office on another floor...

Yehya: Excellent! Thank you! I'm glad we had you with us!

Yehya immediately gets up when he sees all of you, and starts excitedly shaking hands with each and everyone of you.

Yehya: Thank you for helping us obtain key clues! It is much appreciated.

You: You're welcome. We're also delighted to be able to help.

Artem: Yehya, would it be convenient... to keep us up to date on how the case progresses after this?

Yehya: Of course! I will inform you in the first instance as soon as there is any news.

Yehya: By the way, I will also notify captain Morgan as soon as possible, seeing as this case involves many residents of Stellis City as well.

Yehya: For the residents of unnamed cities stranded in Khaimit, we will also persuade them to return home as soon as possible and coordinate with the personnel to make arrangements.

Yehya: Please be assured that we will handle this in the most prudent manner.

Our hard work these past few days have finally come to down to a more than satisfactory ending.

You are slightly relieved, but the tension is still not gone, because...

You: Yehya, can we see Ralph again?

You: I have a few questions that I would like to ask him in person.

Yehya: Hmm... I'll have to get permission for that. Please wait a moment.

The more you think about what happened inside the Hessu Ruins, the more confusing it becomes.

In the early development of the ruins, how did Ralph privately reconstruct the underground space without anyone's knowledge?

Where did he get the equipment used in his research, and how did he transport them into the underground ruin?

These are all points that need to be investigated later. Moreover,...

Ralph: No, you've come at the perfect time.

Ralph: If the data he gave me is correct, my experiment today will be successful...

Ralph: And you... will be the witness of the construction of this bridge being between the ages!

Who is this "he" that Ralph mentioned?

It's difficult to remove the cloud of suspicion from your mind, making you impatient to confront Ralph once again.

Yehya: Everyone, I have received a special interview permit.

After a short wait, Yehya comes back quickly and beckons all of you to follow him.

You: That's great, thank you.

Following Yehya to another office, you see Ralph sitting to the side in handcuffs.

He doesn't look as cocky as before. Instead, he's quiet and looks rather numb to everything.

You: Ralph ... Professor Ralph?

You call out a few times, but Ralph ignores you and doesn't even look you in the eye.

Vyn: Professor Ralph, you may remain silent for the time being, but I believe you will not remain silent forever...

Vyn: Because ... you still have too much grudge and anger in you, am I right to say that?

Ralph: You think you know me well enough? Heh. How ignorant.

Probably stimulated by Vyn's words, Ralph suddenly let out a scornful laugh.

Ralph: Now that it's come to this, what else do you want to say?

Ralph: Do you want to condemn me? To spit on me? Or... push me aside and mock me like everyone else?

You: No, I only ... want to confirm one thing with you.

You: In the ruins, you mentioned that "if the data he gave me is correct, my experiment will be successful today."

You: Who is he? Are you willing to talk to us about it?

Ralph: I see! You want to get info out of me.

Ralph: Are you kidding me? Now, when did I say that?

Ralph: All my data is from my own inference, which I have verified by myself, little by little!

You: But you...

Luke: That's not what you said before.

Marius: All of us heard what you said in the underground ruin.

Marius: Don't you think you're a bit of a prick to be denying this now?

Artem: Mr. Ralph, you can deny it, but the police will undeniably find out the truth one day.

Artem: When the time comes ... you may be punished more severely for giving false evidence.

Artem: Hopefully, you can give that some thought.

Ralph: Hmph. I can only admit to what I have done. I won't regret my choice.

Ralph: Despite my experiment failing due to objective factors, someone else will succeed anyway.

Ralph: One day, those people who left for far away places, and those lost civilizations will come back to us through our own hands...

Ralph: Everything will come full circle, and everything will get better... Hehe...

Once again, Ralph bows his head and pays no more attention to your little group.

Maybe, in his eyes, you are just a bunch of idiots who can't understand what true genius is.

Realizing that there is no way for you to get any useful information out of him, you reluctantly give up probing further.

Khaimit

Walking out of the police station, you see the blazing sunlight spilling over every corner of the Mien central business district, making everything shine brightly and brilliantly.

Behind the scenery, who knows exactly how many unknown clouds of suspicion there are...?

You: ...

You: The investigation has been conducted for a long time now, but in the end... there are still many mysteries that have not been clarified.

Artem: Yes, I think the same as well.

Artem: Moreover, I'm sure there's more to the identity of the person that Ralph mentioned.

Artem: To continue the investigation, perhaps...

Marius: I'll say this: let's not get all bothered about it first!

Marius: It takes some time for the police to figure out how to follow up on it.

Marius: And it's rare for us to come all the way to Khaimit, so why not take this free time to enjoy a vacation?

Luke: I support this. Yehya also agreed to inform us immediately if there's any news.

Luke: We can also consider staying in Khaimit temporarily during this period to see how things go.

Vyn: I am sure we are all exhausted after being this busy for such a extended period of time. We should relax for a bit as well.

Everyone throws their own input into the discussion, and soon the topic moves from case discussions to travel guides.

Listening to them talk relaxes you.

Vyn: [Player], where would you like to visit first??

You: I...

You: Anywhere! We have plenty of time anyway, so we can visit all the places we want to.

That's right. The puzzle will eventually be solved, given enough patience. No need to rush anything.

Only by enjoying the serenity of the moment, can you then confront the risks of the unknown, no?
