The main character confirms her reason for believing Stanley Kor is suspicious in the leak of Jason Sanders' file. Marius suggests they return a few days later with a pre-planned act to trap Stanely. After a few days, Marius holds a meeting at the gallery stating the CCTV footage will soon be recovered and the perpetrator arrested the next day. The two then follow Stanley until he contacts Alex Schneider using a phone card. Marius demonstrates some extreme tactics to get Stanley's call recorded, including vandalizing his home lock and outfitting the nearby woods with CCTV, and they eavesdrop on Stanley until it becomes clear that he's discussing the sale of confidential information with Alex.
