Summary
Artem and the main character give Jerry Jones some time alone at the river, opting to head to dinner and meet him at his apartment later. Artem points out that there are contradictions in Jerry's behavior--that his distress over discovering Naomi's true job should have soured their relationship, but his burning of cranes is out of character for that interaction, which shows there's more to the relationship than they're aware of, such as intense guilt. In addition to their suspicion of Jerry, the pair agree to investigate Night Hunt's owner as well as allow for the possibility that Naomi was the circumstantial victim of a gang initiation ritual, possibly tied to Ava Kendricks' gang.
