To avoid being detected by Jack, you and Artem idle for five minutes before moving out.

You two keep a fair distance between yourselves and Jack while following his GPS position with the tracking app.

While following his trail, you two discuss your "encounter" with Jack.

You: Jack seemed surprised when he heard that we're investigating the case.

You: But when we mentioned new evidence and a reversal, he seemed to agree with the standing investigation results.

You: This contradicts what Darius said about Jack thinking Joshua's sentence as being too lenient.

Artem: Darius said that Jack has been visiting and interviewing Joshua for the past three years.

Artem: If there was more to this case, he would've found such information already.

Artem: He was only acting indifferent to prevent others from associating him with the case.

Artem: Don't forget: to Jack, we're merely two strangers.

Artem: He naturally won't reveal his connection to the case.

Artem: Also, did you notice that he failed to provide his name when he introduced himself?

You: True, but we also didn't give out our names.

You: A brief meeting of strangers doesn't require detailed introductions.

Artem: Jack continues to walk away from the cabin, but from the reception terminal's data...

Artem: The direction of his movement is different from the majority of the other treasure hunters.

Artem: Perhaps his goal truly is...

You: Revenge...

Artem: Correct. Although we can't confirm how he learned of Joshua's presence in this event...

Halfway through his sentence, Artem suddenly frowns.

Artem: I think he's going to take action very soon.

You: Mr. Wing, how did you come to that conclusion...?

Artem points to the watch on your wrist.

Artem: Look at the reception terminal's data.

You activate your terminal and bring up the reception terminal's data. Sure enough, Jack's GPS signal has disappeared.

You: He broke his terminal!

He wouldn't have done that if he wasn't up to something suspicious!

You minimize the map and compare his terminal's last recorded position with a map of Nosta.

You: We followed Jack to such a remote area!

Artem: Let's go and assess the situation.

You two quickly make your way through the forest and dash to where Jack's GPS signal disappeared.

You soon arrive at your destination and discover a shattered terminal in the underbrush.

You: The terminal was disassembled and the chip was directly destroyed. This was intentional.

Artem: I just checked the reception terminal's data. No other terminals were detected in the vicinity.

Artem: The announcement of the damaged terminals was meant to confuse the suspects. All terminals are still functional.

Artem: Zachary and the others aren't nearby, either...

Artem: This eliminates the possibility that Jack's watch was damaged by another contestant's assault.

As Artem speaks, he carefully puts the terminal into a sealed bag.

You: Is there anything special about this remote location? Why did Jack decide to break the terminal here?

Artem looks at Jack's trajectory in the tracking app and is lost in thought for a while.

You: Mr. Wing?

Artem: Look at his path trajectory. Notice anything strange?

You: Strange? He keeps going further and further away, and he's moving at a fast pace, as if he's running.

Artem: Correct. He's running towards his target.

Artem: If he wants to take revenge, he needs to know where Joshua is.

Artem: And it doesn't look like he is searching. More like he knows exactly where his target is.

You: True... But how does he know Joshua's location?

You: Unless...

An idea crosses your mind...

You: Joshua signed up to this event as Zachary's assistant. Did Zachary betray him?

Artem: Zachary often visits the prison, so it's not unlikely that he knows about Jack.

Artem: Let's follow him. Play it by ear.

You: Okay.
