Overview
- Contract Disputes: Whitney signed a custom-order dress contract at a clothing shop. The contract stipulated that the clothing shop would complete the order within 45 days, or be subject to pay double the penalty fee. 60 days later, the clothing shop still hadn't delivered the goods. Whitney demanded the penalty fee, but was refused on grounds that the materials for the dress she ordered couldn't be procured. Whitney was not satisfied with their response and sued them. Currently, the case has gone through the court of first instance, but the clothing shop wishes to settle in private.
