Outside the Hotel
During the break after dinner, you and Marius go for a walk in a nearby alley.
You: I ate too much... I still feel full after walking around for so long.
Marius: How about... we keep walking then?
You: I'm fine with that, but... aren't you tired?
After all, the two of you spent the entire day walking around...
Marius: How can I be tired if you're not?
Marius: And the night breeze feels really nice.
You: Yeah... Marius, look at the night sky!
You reach out toward the night sky.
The night sky is remarkably tranquil.
A sea of stars shines overhead.
Whenever you're here, it always feels like you're close to the sky, probably because of the latitude.
Marius: What's there to look at in the night sky?
You: The stars, of course. Don't you think the stars are magnificent?
Marius: They are... but by the way you acted, I thought there were shooting stars or something.
You: Shooting stars aren't the only magnificent things to look at in the sky... You don't get to see this many stars in the city, even in the suburbs.
They feel close enough to reach out and touch.
Marius: I remember a literary scientist once said that cosmic dust condenses into planets, and the planets gradually evolve into life.
Marius: We come from stars that have passed away, making us all children of the stars.
You: That sounds... romantic.
You: For some reason, it's really moving to hear you put it that way.
Marius: It makes me believe that those who departed a long time ago have been watching me from heaven.

You: ...
You: Marius... I don't know if anyone is looking down on us from heaven.
