Ogier Wechsler is a long-time servant and ally of the noble Haspran family in the Kingdom of Svart. He currently resides in Stellis on orders from Duke Eirik Haspran to protect the Duke's son, Vyn Richter, due to political tension between Svart's church and military.[4] Although Ogier is typically introduced as Vyn's personal butler,[5] he is the former captain of the Haspran family guard[6] and is qualified enough in several areas of combat and survival to serve as an instructor in them. Some of these skills include sea survival and hand-to-hand combat.[7]
Ogier is noted to be well-dressed, elegant, and classy, approximately in his fifties, with a striking scar across his right eye. His speech is slightly accented, making it obvious to Stellis residents that he may be foreign.[4]
