Ask the reception nurse what's going on.
Front Desk Nurse: Dr. Richter! Miss [Player]!
Just as you and Vyn enter the psychology center, the nurse at the front desk waves.
It was the same nurse who helped you find the medicine box when Jessie had an accident the last time.
Things got a little hectic afterward, so you never got the chance to thank her properly.
You: Hey, thank you for last time.
Front Desk Nurse: No need to thank me. I was just doing my job.
Then the nurse looks at Vyn.
Front Desk Nurse: Dr. Richter, your guests have arrived.
Front Desk Nurse: They are waiting for you in your office.
Vyn: All right.
Vyn's Office
Go to Vyn's office to see the visitor.
Walking into Vyn's office, you notice a well-dressed woman holding hands with a little girl in front of the sofa.
Her makeup, though elegant and delicate, cannot hide the exhaustion and worry in her eyes.
You: (This must be the Duchess of Bavaria that Vyn was talking about...)
She seems momentarily startled when you and Vyn enter the office, but quickly regains her composure.
Duchess: Lord Vilhel— no, I should call you Vyn now... Long time no see.
With that, the Duchess politely greets Vyn, and the little girl beside her follows suit.
Vyn: It has been a while, Duchess.
Vyn greets the Duchess, offering them a seat on the sofa after exchanging pleasantries.
After sitting down, the Duchess glances at you, then Vyn.
Duchess: And this is...?
Vyn: This is [Player], my girlfriend.
You: Hello, Duchess.
Duchess: Hello.
Duchess: Ahh, we have not seen each other in so long. It never crossed my mind that you are old enough to get married...
The Duchess' eyes quiver lightly, and her words reveal a trace of indescribable emotion.
Vyn: Thank you, Duchess, for your concern. We can discuss family matters at a later time.
Vyn: It seems you have been looking for me, and even asked my father to contact me...
Vyn: Is there an urgent matter that you wish to discuss with me?
The Duchess is taken aback by Vyn's question, but then she looks at the little girl beside her.
You and Vyn glance over.
The girl is pale and small. Her hands are clasped together as she looks at you and Vyn uneasily.
Duchess: This is my daughter, Marni. We...
The Duchess pauses after introducing her daughter and looks at you and Vyn again.
Seeing her hesitation, you and Vyn exchange a look and nod at each other.
Vyn: Duchess, [Player] can take Marni for a walk, if you do not mind.
Vyn: There is a central business district near the psychology center that Marni might like.
You: Yeah, it's Marni's first time in Stellis, right? I can show her around.
You: Don't worry, I'll take good care of Marni.
The Duchess falls silent for a while, then nods her head.
Duchess: Thank you.
Duchess: Marni, will you be a good girl and play with her?
The Duchess touches Marni's face and gently asks for her opinion.
Marni looks at you, then gently tugs at the Duchess' clothes once more.
Marni: Okay, Mommy. I will be good.
You: (Marni calls the Duchess "Mommy"...It's a bit different from what I knew about nobles.)
You: (It's probably because she's close with the Duchess.)
