Jessie Ingram just left. Go talk with Vyn.
You: Phew...
You and Vyn watch as Jessie is taken away in the car. When it's finally out of sight, you let out a long sigh of relief.
However, you don't feel relaxed at all — on the contrary, your heart feels even heavier than before.
You: Vyn, what's going to happen to Jessie?
You turn around to look at Vyn, who has his head down, seemingly immersed in his own thoughts.
You: Vyn?
Vyn: What is it?
This is the first time you've ever seen him so absent-minded.
You: I'm tired. Shall we go home?
You latch onto his hand and swing it affectionately.
Vyn: Sure. Let us head home.
Vyn is a bit distracted. Go ask him what's wrong.
By the time you return to Vyn's residence, it's already dark.
As the night breeze blows, the white curtains by the window sway, adding a hint of intrigue to the night.

Vyn sits next to you on the sofa, holding a cup of freshly brewed tea.
You: Yeah... Could you play the piano to help me sleep?
He looks at you, not saying a word, then smiles.

You: Eh?
Vyn: You do not really want me to play piano for you. You just want to keep me busy. Am I right?
Caught red-handed by Vyn, you rub your nose in embarrassment.
You: Fine, you always see through me so easily.
You: I feel like you've been acting weird all day. That's why I thought playing the piano could be a nice distraction for you.
Vyn: I am sorry...
You: Oh, why?
Vyn: I am sorry that you have to see me like this.
Vyn: Well, men always act proud and confident in front of the people they care about.
Vyn: But right now, I must appear quite incompetent.

Vyn lowers his head and a helpless smile creeps across the corner of his lips.
Vyn: I made so many mistakes today.
Vyn: Jessie's condition was so unstable, yet I failed to arrange a personal nurse for her in advance.
Vyn: Which allowed her to run away unnoticed... from the psychology center.
Vyn: Luckily, nothing bad happened to her...
The bitterness in Vyn's voice grows increasingly obvious until he sounds almost self-deprecating.
You: Vyn, we all make mistakes...
You: Don't be too harsh on yourself.
So Vyn wasn't upset about the nurse back in the consultation room.
Vyn thinks it was his responsibility and he blames himself for everything.
He's angry with himself.

You nod and take off his glasses.

He murmurs something, then he closes his eyes.
You: Looks like he's really tired...
Seeing Vyn's face while he's asleep, you can't help bending down to kiss him on the forehead.
Soon, he's soundly asleep, with a gentle smile hanging on the corner of his lips.
