General[edit | edit source]
Stanley Kor is an agent with Marius von Hagen's personal gallery who formerly worked in marketing for the Pax Art Fund's Rising Talent Initiative; in particular, Stanley was in charge of promoting Alex Schneider and says that Alex's involvement in the counterfeit art case has ruined his own reputation. Many of the collectors Stanley once had connections with blamed Stanley for the introduction to Alex that would eventually saddle them with fake paintings. Stanley has a reputation among his colleagues of being quiet and cold, especially toward newcomers in his industry such as Jason Sanders' agent, Grant Morse.[1]
Despite Stanley's claims that his professional reputation was all Alex's fault, it was discovered that Stanley had been leaking Pax secrets to competitors prior to meeting Alex. After Alex's fraud case went public, Stanley's loss of reputation left him with no commission and failure to meet basic quotas that led to pay cuts at Pax. In this dire situation, he felt he had no choice but to accept money from Alex to help him get Jason Sanders' file and use it to smear the Rising Talent Initiative.[2]
