Summary
Marius and the
main character go to
Jason Sanders' residence under the guise of offering to sign him with the
Pax Group's Rising Talent Initiative; Jason refuses their offer, responding with brash cynicism and stating that he's happy to paint imitations that will get him rich rather than chase aspirations of being famous after he's dead. Outside Jason's apartment, the two are approached by
Darius Morgan, who asks Marius -- the victim of an unknown crime -- to go to the police station before moving a group of police into Jason's building.
