The main character delivers a document to Vyn Richter at his residence. Rather than coming to meet her at the door, he invites her upstairs where he has built a large card tower, from which he challenges the MC to pull a card without it collapsing. Predictably, she fails, and he asks whether she'd do it again knowing the outcome; when she responds with a strong statement in favor of persistence and shaping her own fate, he compliments her answer and expresses hope that she never forgets it.
