The main character helps Luke clean a large knife wound he sustained in the fight with the police so that Luke can stitch it himself. As they work on his wound, Luke recounts some detail of how and why he joined the NSB and some of the early dangers he faced. When Luke tries to leave to get some rest on the couch on the second floor, the MC demands he stay with her so she can watch over him in case he gets a fever from infection.
