Ted Sadin observes Aran Krall at the Nautilus bar; Luke observes that the Nautilus is an expensive bar and that it doesn't make sense for Aran to be at a reserved-minimum table with such pricey wines, concluding that Aran is probably back at work against Sphynx's wishes. When Aran leaves, Ted follows him; drawing the conclusion that Ted is stalking Aran, Luke and the main character follow Ted as well. Aran takes a winding path that traps Ted in an alley with no CCTV, then demands Ted reveal Sphynx, playing a recording of the previous night's conversation with Luke. Ted insists he doesn't have any standing arrangement with Sphynx, and Aran threatens Ted with a steel pipe to draw Ted's accomplice out of hiding.
